Hello and welcome!
My name is Corrin.
I am an occupational therapist dedicated to helping people age uniquely and supporting care partners.
Aging is a journey that is unique to each individual, and it is my mission to help adults and their care partners navigate life transitions.
new challenges and opportunities.
I see my clients, my family, and my friends juggling all the complex considerations when making important decisions about aging, including maximizing
quality of life,
safety,
financial stability,
purpose,
autonomy,
community,
dignity,
and the list goes on and
is unique to every person, family, and situation.
Everyone wants to be empowered and worked with, not just told what do to especially when it comes to where and how they will live.
I want to work with people to create a life that works for them by prioritizing what is most important to them and helping them balance all their other needs and preferences. I support people to make decisions about their own life by:
asking people important and intentional questions to help them make decisions,
using my expertise an an occupational therapist and advocate for adults in later adulthood to answer tough and complicated questions,
making suggestions to age in place using occupational therapy and home safety expertise,
finding resources to support someone in whatever environment and life they choose, and
supporting care partners and caregivers when they need to make tough decisions.
In addition to my one on one services, I will answer the big questions about transitioning to later adulthood in my expert articles. I will also share stories and experiences from my own work as an occupational therapist and my personal life where I have helped others age uniquely.
Whether you are here for yourself or a care partner, there is something Aging Uniquely can offer everyone.
Some of the topics that I cover in my expert articles include:
what to consider when aging in place or transitioning into a new community,
strategies for maintaining independence and safety,
ways to age in place, even in rural communities,
insights into the latest research on aging,
advice and support for care partners,
and more.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you will find the information here helpful and informative. If you have any questions or topics you would like to see covered, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to sharing this journey with you!
